The flowers were beautiful – prettier than the public Garden in Halifax and it seemed that there were more flowers and many more presentations than at Halifax. A nice casual walk around the flower displays. Allow 2 hours for the walk around

We enjoyed our visit to the Gardens. $11.75 admission and we didn't arrive until 4pm but still had a good look around. There was a good mix of styles here, including the dike walk.

We were staying nearby in the Hillsdale House so we wandered into the Gardens... Peaceful and beautiful grounds / meandering walking paths through different environments (elephant grass boardwalk one of my favorite areas) If you're into botanicals or just want some zen time, do this!

Came across this largely by chance, fortunately on a beautiful sunny afternoon. A good introduction and explanation as we purchased our very reasonably priced (compared to comparable attractions in England!) tickets. A well and clearly organised garden with its different sections, primarily arranged historically; very...More

We were looking for something to do on an over night stay in the area and found the gardens on trip advisor. I must say the gardens were extremely well groomed and maintained. I loved the statutes and little ponds. The longer walk around the...More

It was late September but still lots of beauty to see. There was a small fee but knowing it was going to upkeep the vast gardens, there was certainly no issue in paying it.
