Who knew that in a town of 500 there would be a thriving film-going community? Clearly the King's Theatre is no secret to those in attendance at its films (and live shows, though regretfully, I had to leave town before attending one). A pleasantly refurbished, lovely building with high quality speakers and digital projection, the theatre was full the evening... More

Old theatre building interesting. Seats comfortable. Went to see Ryan Cook-a singer fro Nova Scotia, As a singer he was ok but as an entertainer, not so much. He spent much too time tuning his guitar. His back up singers were better than he. The box office advertised open until 3 for advance tickets. I arrived at 2:50 to a... More

Quaint theatre with devoted audience showing great productions of local talent in the King's Shorts. A wonderful, fun evening of entertainment!

We have enjoyed many movies and live productions at this incredibly active little facility in a very friendly town. From 10 minute plays, multi act productions by the local drama group, dance productions by visiting groups, touring Gilbert and Sullivan, first rate musical productions of every genre, hit movies, as well as thought provoking, lesser known movies arranged by the... Very well done! My husband booked the tickets in September to make sure we would get seats since it is our anniversary. Looking forward to another play in the future.

Attended a play with my daughter, her boyfriend, my husband. It was very entertaining, was about what I expected. Its not Broadway, nor does it try to be. It was quaint and lovely

I live in the area and really appreciate the "new" digital equipment that the theatre has recently upgraded to. This allows them to play more recent movies for us and our kiddos. Tons and tons of live entertainment going on all of the time. The only downside I can think of is that they don't play enough movies...lol...

We were in the second last row and it didn't matter. The theatre is so intimate there are no bad seats. Lots of leg room and great staff.

If you are planning a trip to wonderful Annapolis Royal, make sure that you log on to the Theatre's website and see what's up and coming. You could be treated to anything from live piano or jazz to a Hollywood blockbuster. The facility is comfortable, the sound system is awesome and the ambiance of the town and old theatre building... An intimate theatre that hosts a variety of live performances - music, drama, dance, comedy - along with the latest movies and some great "film society" selections too. It's really affordable and family friendly too.
