During our stay in Cape Breton we drove to many spots. This is a beautiful lake be it viewed from the highway, hill or on the shore. Quite enjoyable. Many places to stop.

What a beautiful lake! We stayed in Iona and saw beautiful sunsets over this amazing estuary. You can take a sailing cruise on the lake from Baddeck harbour. It is a UNESCO bio reserve. We saw seals, and bald eagles while sailing this lake!

This is an incredible lake and yes, the ride is long and the views and activities along it are worth the trip to see. Next time, we'd want to stay longer to enjoy all its beauty.
