...this one dates back to around 1860, with a further wing added in the 1930s. It wasn’t open for public tours, apparently that’s only once a year in June, but it was nice to stop and take it in, and take a few photos. It’s...More

My husband and I are part of a Nova Scotia traveling group and we are at the end of our visit. Walking is a great way to stretch the legs after being on the road. Excellent walking paths and goreous view of the water fronts.

Dating back to the 1800s it is a beautiful, building to admire from the outside. It is right on Spring Garden Rd . It is a functioning Court House but one day a year in June it's open to the public.

I was lucky enough to be in Halifax during the apparently annual open day. The chance to visit the courthouse was very interesting, particularly so for foreign visitors unfamiliar with the justice system in Canafa.

Halifax has plenty of interesting buildings to admire and the Halifax Court House on Spring Garden Road is one of them. Check out the interesting faces that adorn the façade.

Yet another attractive edifice in downtown Halifax. This continues to function as a court, but still possible to click some pics from the outside. Some trees block the view so only partial pics are possible.

Certainly take a look at the outside as you walk by on the lower portion of Spring Garden Road. It is lovely building that heard its first trial in October of 1860, over 150 years ago. The inside isn't quite as nice but I still...More

Went it to see if we could find any records related to my family history. Staff were really helpful as we toured around the interesting rooms. Found a person to look up some archive references, which turned out to be limited, but was very nice...More

Not even really sure how to review this. It was cool, we just went and sat through a few hearings for my boyfriend's class at school.

The exterior is quite beautiful. The interior not so much! It is a functioning courthouse, so you may be able to see a trial in progress. The building is full of history and ghosts!
