Park with ample parking, where dogs are welcome off leash and you get a taste of water and harbor views.
Great maps outline the trails both on park signage and on line.

We stopped in here for a quick walk. We walked our dog for an afternoon. It’s well organized with signage. I could have spent much longer. Felt really safe as we walked and looked at everything in the park.
Walk all around the park and take in the view-beautiful and serene. There are lots of places to stop and relax while watching the bay. Dogs are welcome on many of the paths and there is a beach area that many visited while there.
A nice place with free parking and extra wide walking trails, many in the shade. It was nice to get out and really strtch our legs by walking the outer trail. There was a fantastic breeze near the water.
Always looking for good walks from downtown. This is a great destination to walk to. Straight down the board walk and then through the shipyards. Lots to look at and easy walking along side walks. Take a left when you get to the park to...More

Nope - just park in the upper parking lot, grab a delicious ice cream from the friendly folks at the corner convenience store there and start walking! I recommend going straight on the path so you can see Martello Tower on the right, the old fort on the left, straight through to the beach on the Noethwest Arm.
Then you can follow the water to go back, check out the big bandstand/gazebo, the sailors memorial, and end at Black Rock beach. Then you can walk back up the road to the upper parking lot, either through the park or on the sidewalk by the road.
