It had been a few years from my last walk through of the gallery and I very much enjoyed this visit. Great range of exhibits and diversity of artists. Easy to move around and lots of space to view the art. Lockers are provided for bags and coats and there is a nice gift shop and coffee bar.

This was one of the things I most wanted to do and I wasn't sorry. Her tiny home has been lovingly restored and her paintings are so inspiring. Also inspiring are the lovely people who work there, especially the lady who showed me her favourite Lewis painting of two deer looking away out of the picture. Thank you for making... More

This gallery proved to be a surprise on many fronts. There was lot to see which included local, contemporary and permanent collections. The exhibits were well-curated and accessible at all levels. Appreciated the native Canadian work and photographs. Local artists were included on lower plaza corridor. Maud Lewis's story and paintings were a real treat. Loved the Autism and Artwork... More

A very nice art museum with native artists, in particular, an exhibit featuring Maud Lewis including her actual house that she painted from top to bottom. Also a very relevant and nice gift shop.

The temporary and permanent exhibits were all interesting and gave a flavour for the local culture. This is not a huge gallery so not intimidating - you can see it all in an hour, and spend longer if you have the time or fall in glove with a few pieces.

If you love folk art, you will love seeing the works of Maude Lewis-including her little house which is displayed in the museum. She is a treasure!

This museum is larger than it at first appears and has two wings. You go between them on the lower level. The Maude Lewis exhibit was quite interesting and her home is actually in the museum. Discount for seniors over 60.

Great Art Gallery. Several levels of great artwork past and contemporary. A must see is local Nova Scotian Folk Artist Maud Lewis - her little house is preserved and stored there along with some of her artwork. Lower level. Enjoyed this gallery very much.
