Make sure that you go to both Piers so that you get to take in the full market. The first is a small Farmers market with the second one at Pier 22 a larger one that has a lot more shopping with many of the larger stores in town having space here.

We we went on a Sunday, probably best on a Saturday, didn't seem like all vendors were there,it was still ok but based on reviews seemed like only 50% of the place were opened other spaces were empty.Still worth a walk around for assorted food and crafts.

A collection of stalls trying to ply their wares to the numerous ship passengers. Odd stalls of interest but not what you might expect or hope for from a 'market'. There are some food stalls if you are desperate for food but none looked too appetising.

We stopped in at the Harbourside Market on the weekend and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of vendors selling their products. A lot of unique items and also the standard fare. Since we were just visiting Halifax, we picked up a few things to bring back as small gifts. We decided to go back on the Tuesday afternoon and... More

The Harbourside Market consists of a large two storey indoor market. The original buildings were the piers where the goods and people landed in Canada. The market is full of bustling stalls, which sell ready to eat food as well as jewellery, clothes and food products. There are sometimes entertainers on the lower storey. A staircase takes you up to... More

Great location for markets and makes it a bit more interesting for cruise passengers returning to their ships. Lots of local handicrafts to see and very friendly people at the stalls.

Directly in front of the cruise shiplease, the entrance to the market is non descript but go on in! A surprising number of vendors are there to sell their wares. In addition, there are many selling food and freshly prepared items. We opted for some Asian dumplings as they weren't prepared in front of our eyes. Don't forget to go... More

A good place to find fresh produce; baking and other items. Many cafes and other places to eat and relax while visiting the Harbour and Boardwalk.
