Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We turned up on the last day of our vacation to find it was closed. There were two volunteers working the garden and they kindly agreed to show us around. The house is beautifully restored and well worth seeing. We are so grateful for the kindness shown, pretty much indicative of our experience with all the Canadians we have met. Nothing is too much of an effort to make a welcome. Sincerest best wishes to all the volunteers for continued success in keeping this little corner of Brampton in the 19th century

I was looking for the places to visit in Brampton and found on google that there is a historic house. When we visited we were guided by a wonderful volunteer who gave us insights about the Bovaird house and other stuff they have preserved there. A must visit if you want to know your historical background.

We have many times enjoyed the wonderful afternoon teas put on by Bovaird house. The Period décor and costumes worn all add to the experience. The baked goods are from very old recipies and the house itself is a treasure of history.

A little piece of history in Brampton. Volunteers dress in period clothing and conduct tours of the house. They have event during the year; for example, Christmas craft sale, Mother Day tea, Dessert by Lamplight. I recently enjoyed the Dessert by Lamplight event with friends.

No trip to Brampton should be without an excursion to Bovaird House. Recreation of a 19th-century farm, authentic.

This is a lovely old home from the past which is full of history. It is well looked after by mostly volunteers who dress and play the part. They do it very well and spend many hours of their precious time at the House. There is an addition being added and this will make your visit even better.

Great artifacts, excellent in formation from the guide. I was able to take photos of the artifacts. Parking space is available. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Bovaird House. I was fascinated to learn that the Bovaird Family still lives in the area and they are in fact supporting the Historic House by adding upgrades.

I hate to say this but what a waste of time. Yes it's a historical home in Brampton what does that really mean . I don't think any politician in Brampton understand the word historic. Brampton has become an absolute nightmare in the last 10 years there's nothing historical left in the city
