Interesting downtown core, with historic buildings Handsmaid’s Tale and Murdoch Mysteries, among other shows have filmed here. The Idea Exchange just opened after a multi-millions renovation. Check out the glass addition over the river!

Some beautiful old building's and some up and coming restaurants. Unfortunately there are some questionable areas. Nice along the river

If you need a break walking along the old district and the river is a great way to spend the afternoon. From the old arch bridge to the falls, it's very peaceful.

No good restaurants for a reasonable price. The traffic is horrible and most of the stores are closed. There is way too many crackheads around the north side of the downtown core. I don't feel safe here

Galt is the south-west corner of the three ex-villages that make up Cambridge. It contains the old Town Hall, which includes the archives, and the new City Hall, which is an award-winning building with a beautiful green wall inside. The also award-winning Farmer's Market is...More

Galt is my hometown so I'm a little biased perhaps but it is a lovely quaint town with pretty much everything you'd ever need right at your fingertips. The Grand River runs through the downtown centre separating "the West Side" from the East Side. Churches...More

I do appreciate Cambridge and all or what little it has to offer. Small city but everything I need. Galt is quaint and the mayor is desperate to rejuvenate, even at the cost of ignoring the rest of the city. Nice to see, maybe nice...More

Not sure what hotel you are reviewing, but I agree with BirdBrain's comments. Lots of choices locally. Just to add to the list is the Cambridge Hotel.
