This beach is enjoyable but quite crowded. We drove here from Oshawa and had a nice picnic just west of the main beach area. We were able to find street parking, about 5 minute walk to the actual beach front. Sand is nice, water was...More

Chrystal Beach is a relaxed waterfront community that is very quiet and not necessarily good for young party goers. There aren’t many restaurants but one can find some nice places to go and hang out in peace.

Lovely beach, arrived around 11am, parking was easy, lots of people on the beach but no problem finding a spot. Water was clean, good temp.. Had a great time, will definitely be back.

We stopped at a part of the beach that was rocky and had several historical plaques. It was inspiring to read some of the history and look off into the distance, imagining what it must have been like for those in the past.

The last time I was at Crystal Beach was 4+ years ago when the only parking was a small concrete pad with 20-30 spots. This year, we drove through this year around 2:30 to face total pandemonium with cars trying to get into full parking...More

Hi Judy, I am really not sure..that would be up to the city planners..There seem to be a few secure beaches there, which, from what I remember, were never there
