What a fun little town full of cottages and ice cream shops. When we were there the main entrance to the public beach was under construction which was annoying but it will be nice to visit next year to see the end result of the...More
This beach is enjoyable but quite crowded. We drove here from Oshawa and had a nice picnic just west of the main beach area. We were able to find street parking, about 5 minute walk to the actual beach front. Sand is nice, water was...More
Chrystal Beach is a relaxed waterfront community that is very quiet and not necessarily good for young party goers. There aren’t many restaurants but one can find some nice places to go and hang out in peace.
If you are looking for a family friendly beach then you have found it ! The sand is immaculately clean and golden, not gritty or hard to walk on. The sea is crystal blue and clear, the swimming are is roped off to protect swimmers...More

Thank you for your review of Crystal Beach and for seeing the potential the beach has, especially while under construction!
The good: Beautiful beach, nice sand, very clean water. The people in the area are really nice and everyone is always smiling. It's close to other attractions like Niagara Falls and makes a great quiet day in your trip.

Yes, I believe there is street parking (on Cambridge) and depending on where the house is located on Cambridge West they can also park in the beach lot or on Erie Rd. I think the beach lot free during the week and paid on the weekends when the beach is very busy. Cambridge is very central, good choice! You’ll be close to a good restaurant called SouthCoast Cookhouse and near a couple of bars - all easily walk-able.
