The canal is close to the main road from Hobart to Port Arthur. A pleasant park with good amenities overlooks the canal. The water was clean and inviting. A pleasant diversion or resting stop.

This canal is a fascinating waterway that we were lucky enough to be there when the bridge opened to allow some vessels through. Not something you see very often.

This narrow neck of water divides the Point Arthur peninsula from the main land. The bridge is constructed to stop any Devil Conservation Reserve for the full and interesting story.
