All you do is go down main and make a right on gage and go to lawrence(gage ends there). Make a left onto lawrence and then make a left into the parking lot where the lawn bowling is (just shortly after you get onto lawrence). It is a short walk from the parking lot. There is a walkway, just follow it and the entrance to the bulb show is on the left. Worth going to, you get a touch of spring.
Gage Park is a public park and I know of no reason why you can't BBQ. You just need to bring your own BBQ and supplies. There are picnic tables in some areas and free parking off Lawrence Road (by the escarpment).
