We went at Christmas time when the castle was decorated. It was decorated as it would have been during the time period. We took our teen grandchildren ages 13-19 and they enjoyed it as well. Would recommend it especially during Christmas.

The house is decorated for a Victorian Christmas. You walk through with a guide who explains how the McNab family would have decorated and entertained for the holidays.

We've taken the kids here a couple of times. It's alright, nothing to go crazy over but overall a fun excuse to get the kids out of the house.

I love visiting historic homes to see how people lived. This home is richly furnished, each room has actual family furniture and accessories, or very similar ones from the same time period, 1855. The rooms are beautiful and the guide explains the use of each...More

The castle is great to visit to have a look back on history for the day. The grounds are wonderful to have a picnic and a hike near the water.
