Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The biggest problem when visiting Kingston is that there is almost no parking on the streets. Almost of the parking spots on the all the streets are reserved or you are not allowed to park. If you are planning to visit Kington by car then I would say don't go. It is too frustrating trying to find a free parking spot on almost all the streets in Kingston.

Most exhibit areas were closed...sheesh. We spent time in just two areas so it was a quick visit after paying for parking. Sort of annoyed. We re-walked the harbour area and up to a restaurant rather than paying for parking somewhere else. It's not for kids.

I've never went into the old City Hall but when I saw it I was amazed it was a very beautiful site to see compared to the new City Hall I wish I could of seen it from the inside for myself I seen it on Flashpoint but not for myself what I saw of it must of been magnificent to walk inside of it was bigger than I really imagined on the outside I walked from my hotel the Bond Place hotel to this building I don't remember how long it took or the distance but it was worth the walk so if you want to take a long walk go to the old City Hall & enjoy it

This is a gorgeous building in a lovely area of Kingston, near the water. You can sit in the nearby park and enjoy the views.

Heard about this on Tripadvisor so fitted it into a walking itinerary of the town. Highly recommended to get a feel for social history of the area. Pleasant guide for the small group.

It is one of the busiest place in Kingston, but also has the calming effect. The city hall is grand and historic.

We went on a self walking tour of the city hall and found all kinds of treasures. For example, the desk that Sir John A. Macdonald used in his law office is in the building. You can also find (in the basement) two old jail cells.

There's a lot of history behind this building and the tour is a great way to learn about it. My tour guide was very friendly and provided a detailed tour of most of the building (some rooms are closed to the public). I would highly recommend this to others!

We lived in Kingston for 5 years and never toured City Hall. It's a free tour that takes you back in history with an excellent guide. Don't miss it the next time you're in Kingston - very well worth it!

The city hall should be on your 'must see list' if you are visiting Kingston. Just collect a brochure from the friendly front office staff and wander around in the historical building. The meeting halls, council chamber and the high ceilings are all beautifully presented with amazing architecture. A well maintained building.
