Meeting the past staff is an incredible experience and privilege. You get the real story and can ask any question. Many lessons to learn from this important site. Hope it gets some funding and is preserved just the way it is. I was confused at...More

Three of us took the standard tour in August, came back for the premium tour in October. Will visit again in the spring. Found the staff at museum extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

So cool! My favourite part was the secret tunnel to the Marine Museum. The museum volunteers have incredible stories.

Great historical tour and very informative! Make sure you wear very comfy shoes! Actual staff on duty, ex-warden which he shares real stories that took place in the penitentiary when he was warden! Great men to listen to!

We enjoyed our visit to the museum. It is a must to see especially before touring the penitentiary itself. The staff were very helpful explaining things. We enjoyed it.

A true meaning of the phrase, "a good place to visit but wouldn't want to live there" an interesting tour inside one of Canada's oldest prisons. The guide(s) were informative and easy to listen to. Recommend for families with older children (12 and up) not...More
