Great Indie Cinema

Always has a great selection of films playing, it also has tea, which while a small touch is a much loved feature on my part. Always check to see what's playing when I visit

You can see the non-mainstream wining movies here that teh big guns don't think will bring in enough money. most of the films in the 2 small theatres are interesting, winners of soem sort and unique. popcorn, tea and so on is available. non-mainstream kind of place, like having a theatre in you house maybe. I'm not sure if they... More

This is the place to see those movies that don't make it to the big screen but are well worth seeing and often very memorable. They also show some of the most popular movies that have already been on the big screens. The 2 theaters are small and intimate and the sound is not booming and deafening. You can bring your... More

I attended an event here last year (not sure of the date) and had a blast! I loved how small and cozy the place was.I was excited to discover they also serve hot tea in real mugs that you bring into the movie theatre with you. Lovely. It is rare to find a locally owned little downtown movie theatre like... More

Great selection of movies, friendly service, perfect ambience, and yes that's REAL butter on the popcorn! Actually, the snack and drink menu is inspired. They know what you want.

Really the only place in Kingston where you will catch independent films. A great place for aspiring film students to catch small, low-budget films that they would not see otherwise. Friendly staff with very reasonable prices. Small theatres with great seat views. A lovely, alternative stop for a film buff looking for something international, Canadian, or even local... just depends... More

Great regular movie lineup, good popcorn and snacks, very creative and enjoyable special showings, good support of local film endeavors and film festivals, and all with friendly staff and good prices. What more could any want from a local theatre.

A small venue with great movies to enjoy at a very reasonable price. Don't think there is a bad seat in the theatre and the chairs are quite comfortable. A fun place to go without the big crowds.

A delight to discover a cozy, if slightly threadbare, cinema showing non-mainstream fare. Good picture and sound and comfy seats. Only let down by the scruffy and uninviting entrance - seems to have more to do with the sale of lottery tickets. Maybe it could do with a bit of a spruce up but all the essentials are there. A... The films shown are cool, and the food is also good. Very nice if you plan on spending the day downtown.
