Nice venue, nice menu, lousy acoustics

I want to like Aeolian Hall a lot. It's a small (300 +/- seat) venue that brings in a good mix of live music and does good things in the community. My problem is that, as a venue for music, it has terrible acoustics. Every surface is hard and the upper reaches of the room are filled with a maze... More

This was the first time my husband and myself went to this hall. It is very old and unchanged with plenty of history. The concert we went to see was "Take It Easy" a tribute to the Eagles. The music was amazing and the 5 guys in the band were entertaining with stories of the Eagles as well as very... More

It's a intimate, historic venue, I was super excited to be able to see my fave band here :) However, this time I actually left before the show began. The venue is manned by local volunteers, many of whom are happy to share in their enthusiasm for the community (and it shows!) but others lack professional courtesy and can be... More

Great orchestra with a male and female singers, a wonderful repertoire of music and believe it or not, music you could dance to from the forties and fifties. Looking forward to December 2016. Very helpful wait staff. All in all a great evening and inexpensive for what we got. You won't be disappointed.

Have taken in a couple of concerts here. This is a perfect venue for that intimate concert setting. A little bar that serves drinks that you can sip on while watching the concert.

I have seen many concerts at this venue & I have never been disappointed. Staff have always been helpful, & all the volunteers take pride in this historic place.

I have enjoyed a few concerts at the Aeolian Hall in old East London over the past 10 years. It is small and intimate with very good acoustics. They have a small bar area serving beverages including wine & beer. A sweet heritage gem!

My husband and I have visited Aeolian, on numerous occasions, for a variety of musical concerts, from classical to jazz to pop. The building is old, but elegant, and provides a beautiful venue, either set up in bistro or theatre style to enjoy beautiful music. Light refreshments are available at a fair cost, and a glass of wine is a... More

I have been there for concerts, plays and meetings and love the atmosphere. Another great gem in Old East area. The restoration of this building is awesome!

Originally the town hall for at the time independent East London, the Aeolian Hall has seen a host of uses over the years. It is a heritage building that now serves as an award winning music venue. What I think is the best thing about it now is the El Sistema program which offers free music lessons to individuals who... More
