Wonderful park. Almost tranquility in the midst of urbania. Watched from the bridge as a "homeless" man forded the river to stash the items he had collected that day. The Canada geese were pleased when we turned on the "water fountain playground", assume they appreciate...More

Extending from Springbank and Harris Parks, Gibbons offers meandering Thames River trails and paved paths through it's interior. The park runs behind a beautiful residential area and to the gates of Western University. For walks, runs, bikes and doggies. Lots of parking as a bonus...More

Situated downtown, and connects to Sppringbank or deep into the woods along the Thames, a lovely hiking trail which can take you all the way to St. Mary's at one end, and close to St. Thomas at the other. Nature lovers will enjoy.

We visit Gibbons frequently in the good weather, for the water park area in the daytime as well as simply strolling later in the afternoons. Tip: swimming lessons offered at the public pool are excellent.

Standard Park - trail, splashpad,... nothing to write home about. Great to bring young children to the splash pad in the summer.

This park is lovely for walking. The river is on one side and there are gorgeous, old trees scattered throughout.

No, not at all but head south about four or five blocks. Turn left onto Oxford St. and you will see a value mart grocery store on the left. It is more expensive than most grocery stores though.
