It is always a great time at Jackson Triggs, no matter the weather. This fall, during covid, my husband and I were thoroughly impressed with how they have handled these unprecedented times and all the precautions they have taken to make everyone feel comfortable in a socially distanced atmosphere. Jodel Jimenez was exceptional and worthy of note. Will definitely be back again!

I want to share with you how absolutely thrilled we were on our last 2 visits which was our first and second time out on an excursion since COVID-19. On Friday Oct 17th when the temperature rose to 28 C, we decided on a whim to visit your estate. As wine club members since 2016, we enjoyed the food/wine pairing special events 2 X year, but we just didn’t carve out time to visit on a weekend or day trip beyond the special events. We decided to take advantage of the good weather for a day trip and a bite to eat. We arrived and were greeted by a very nice gentleman who asked us to read the sign (COVID-19 symptoms) and then took our name & phone # (for contact tracing), asked us what our preferred experience would be, (wine only, or food or both) and showed us to the restaurant area. Since we wanted to stay for lunch we ordered from the menu and sat outside to enjoy our wine and sandwiches (too bad the fry machine wasn’t working). I was so impressed by not only the staff who served us, but also the staff who cleaned and wiped down the tables, chairs, armrests and took the time to chat with us to provide us with added value information about weekend wine/food pairings and cooking events. One server even contacted Inniskillin to check if they served dessert, as Jackson Triggs had none on their menu. On our way home I contacted my brother and his wife and invited them to come with us the next time we visit. We relayed our experience and they, being a bit older than us and very concerned about COVID -19, were also impressed with our experience (especially the cleaning of the touch surfaces). On Nov 6th, when we heard the weather was warming up, we booked a taste testing at the last minute the night before for the next day, Nov 7th (it was too last minute for my brother and sister in law to change their plans to come with us). What a wonderful experience! We did the taste testing @ 11:00 am, then asked for the mini wine/food pairing of curry with Riesling and anticipating that the portion would be very small (we were wrong), we ordered lunch and moved over to the picnic tables to enjoy it. The food (and I’m a foodie) was so delicious, my husband took photos of me with the food and wine, imitating Phil Rosenthal (Netflix’s Somebody feed Phil) who shows how much he loves food with hand gestures and sent them to my brother and sister in law. Afterwards we took a walk through the vineyards and then went on our way. We will most definitely be doing this more often and inviting friends/family to enjoy our experience. We’d like to thank your lunch staff (greeters, servers, chefs, bus staff and those we don’t see who work behind the scene), for not only ensuring our experience was fun and delicious, but also memorable and safe. Signage regarding safety protocols were clear and enforced (masks, distancing, hand sanitizers, immediately cleaned tables and chairs when patrons left). The integrity is there. It can’t just be that you are fortunate to have people who are responsible, professional, approachable, talented, respectful and mature; it takes leadership and coaching to have this culture in your business. We look forward to visiting again! J & H

I would give it a 2.5 The place is very nice, beautiful outdoor patio, but it was cold and we weren't offered an option to go indoors. Staff were not overly friendly. Wine tasting was the most expensive on our entire tour. Also, the least appealing. The store required "permission" to enter, which is totally bizarre. Prices in the store were outrageous. There are far better wines out there for far less money. Its the only winery we visited, that we left without buying anything.
