The RMG is a vibrant, engaging public art museum located in Oshawa's civic centre between City Hall and the McLaughlin Public Library. The largest gallery in Durham Region, the RMG occupies an inspired 36,000 square foot building designed by noted architect Arthur Erickson. Featuring a Permanent Collection of over 4000 works, and four galleries of diverse and changing exhibitions, the RMG holds a significant collection of Modern and Contemporary Canadian art, and the largest collection of works by Painters Eleven in Canada. Creative education programs, an eclectic gallery shop, fun monthly events, inspiring event spaces, an art archive and library, and two art studios are found at the RMG.

Always has new art. Alot of modern art in there. A nice classy cafe above the gallery. The staff are always helpfull and polite. This is a great place for anyone to try once. Art Lovers will love it !!

Always a good program on the first Friday of the month. I've seen some amazing talent and art in this hidden gem.

Very interesting collection of paintings. Small gallery with an interactive section for children. Good place to take children for March break.

We've visited the gallery several times and even held our wedding here. It's a beautiful spot, the exhibits are well done, and the staff are great to work with for event planning.
