We were there in the fall after the blooms were off the roses. The garden was pretty well spent. The Mansion was well maintained bar a few worn carpets. It was a good tour. The guide was well-informed. A nice way to wile away an afternoon.

Summer is the time to go. Take your time walking through the beautiful gardens. Inside was quite interesting as well.

Beauty afternoon I had relatives from Arizona visiting. Strolling leisurely through the grounds was a total delight. I feel the mansion and grounds are very mystical while walking you can almost feel yourself being transported back in time. We spent a couple of hours just outside loving nature. I say it every year, I want to bring my girls with... More

Interesting Historical site. Went with auto enthusiast friends. Had great lunch on Tea Room Patio. Beautiful gardens. Interesting to see where many movies and TV shows are filmed. Earlier in August, I was able to go to a behind scenes tour of the basement, which is offered once a year.

This site gives the perfect example of Oshawa's elite culture long ago. You can see the extravagance of the privilegedfrom back in that time. While touring you get to view living quarters as well as the way they spent their free time. example- bowling alley, indoor swimming pool and beautiful gardens. During the summer months the tea house is open... More

Parkwood is absolutely beautiful. It was state of the art when it was built. I would definitely recommend a tour. The grounds are beautiful as well. There is so much to see and admire. It is like stepping back in time to the twenties and you would love to see how things were in it's hey day.

The thing I liked was all the unexpected things to see inside the house. Also, the stories involving those things were informative and entertaining

Glimpse into the life of the family that founded auto manufacturing in Canada. Statey home with its original and fine quality furnishings. A tea room for you to rest and reflect. Beautiful gardens with fountains and walkways. This really is Ontario at its finest. A well maintained estate that captures the tone of a long past era in Canada's history.
