Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is such a fitting memorial to world renowned jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. Not only is the sculpture well crafted, the hidden speaker that plays jazz tunes brings this work to life. Definitely one of my favourite pieces of public art in Ottawa.

Went there and was amazed it looks just as the photo, and he looked like it was yesterday.
He was a man ,and a man of all the right kind of Canada people, not overly pretentious , and very happy to shake hands.

This piece of art incorporates history, art and music. It's unique setup allows you to sit and enjoy some jazz music while also enjoying the artistry of the statue.

If any Canadian musician deserves a tribute in the form of a statue, Oscar Peterson is among the first to come to mind. The whole setting is absolutely great. A bench wide enough to sit next to the maestro and have a picture taken (which I would on no account give a miss to) and subdued music coming from a built-in loudspeaker in the nearby wall. Perfect.

This is a cleaver statue where you can join in and be part of the statue as well. It’s nice to see a statue as well that has a music theme too.

The statue of Oscar Peterson at his piano is prominently situated outside the National
Arts Centre Ottawa. Its design is by Ruth Abernethy and it was unveiled by HM
Queen Elizabeth II on a State visit to Ottawa in 2010.

Wasn't sure who the statue was of, but the sign helps along with the internet, a clever design to a remarkable jazz legend, worth a find if you are on Elgin st.

We had to visit the Oscar Peterson Statue, since one of us is a huge Oscar fan! It was a very nice statue in an excellent location - at the corner of Elgin and Albert off the Mackenzie King Bridge. There is jazz music playing in the background, and you can sit on the bench beside Oscar for a good photo op.
Miss you Oscar, but you live forever through your beautiful music!

This was our best surprise in Ottawa. When walking through Elgin St. we saw a sculpture of a man and a piano. Then we realized it was Oscar Peterson, a famous Canadian jazz pianist. Also lovely, his music can be heard at the time we behold the sculpture.
