Great to walk around and enjoy at any time in the year, but especially so on the First of July. Great area, lots of patios to sit on, good food.

For a capital city the market really needs a revamp. While they are trying with some trendy restaurants and ice cream places it could be a lot better. It's is just missing a class that other big cities have.

This market was so much fun, you could buy flowers, ornaments, jewelry, fruits and vegetables as well. I loved walking around there.

I always enjoy strolling the ByWard Market, buying some fresh fruit or vegetables, or maple syrup. There are always crafts and other ethnic finds and there is a lot of choice for international cuisines.

Excellent vendors all along the Market and excellent variety of restaurants and food. A great variety of Indian, Chinese and French type restaurants and cafes.
