Quick visit

We visited on a rainy day but didn't have much time. Our favourite part was the prehistoric area. Lots of interesting info on dinosaurs etc.

Great displays. Dinosaurs, animals, sea creatures, birds. Probably one of the best exhibits of its kind in Canada. Great for kids and adults alike.

My only gripe is that it is expensive for the size of the place and they always try to squeeze a few more $ out of you for "special" exhibits. I go every summer with my two kids.

Perfect place to visit on a weekend away. We went for the reptile exhibition. Really good, perfect for bad weather or children

Really enjoyed the reptile exhibit. Museum geared toward both children and adults. Lots to see here but we covered a fair bit in 2 hours. Although we did not have young children in our group, the children we saw were clearly enjoying themselves. Loved the architecture.

My kids' favourite museum. Took my sister and niece (who were visiting from out of town) and they loved it.

I'd give the Museum of Nature 6 stars if I could. The temporary exhibit on reptiles is beyond wonderful - and get there near 11 to see the snakes being fed! - and the whole place is well organized so that you learn plenty. The written information is not dumbed down but also not overlong nor too detailed. (Only one... More

Located in Ottawa in the fanciful, castle-like Victoria Memorial Museum Building on McLeod Street, the Canadian Museum of Nature is Canada’s national natural history and natural sciences museum. Its four main collections (botany, mineralogy, palaeontology, and zoology) were started by the Geological Survey of Canada in 1856 and now include about 14.6 million specimens. A visit to the Canadian Museum... More

My partner and I visited here on a very snowy day and the woolly mammoth outside looked very at home. It was very reasonable entry fee and if you wish to leave your coat etc there is a place for this. Well set out and signed and you get a wee map on entry. We payed for the option which... More
