Kim, the curator, was a wealth of knowledge and helped us to truly understand the history of Pelee Island. The displays, although dated and quite rustic were very interesting.

Good place to start to get the history of the island. Take the van tour to really get the full back story.

Although the staff were happy and friendly I was shocked at how small this place is. I was hoping for a lot more because of all the history this island has but we found very little.

This is a small but historically interesting cultural centre / museum. There is a diverse wealth of information to be gleaned, from early settlers, to the illegal alcohol trade, geology and wildlife / fauna.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was expecting more artisan products/local artists. It was more like a craft store. Many homemade and knitted items. Again, take a step and look around...there us not much to visit on Pelee, but nature at its best.

So much information, so well done. From plants and animals to geology and human history, and even a section on the bird banding station. Well worth the stop!

A pleasant stop on the island for a low-fi, unpretentious walk through Pelee Island history and that of the nearby islands. The exhibits are thoughtful and uncomplicated in their presentation. The centre is a throwback to old school museums. If you like history and want...More
