If you walked at a normal pace it would take you 10 minutes to circle the whole property - it's fairly small. But there are a whole range of great animals (rescued not bred...) that will make this zoo into hearty 2 hour trip. I go once a year when I am home, and each time it is entertaining. Reindeer,... I have been here few times. The zoo is free and has wide playground. Actually, it wasnt interesting but still good for children. So id like to say its good when your kids get bored with the playground near to your house.

A great zoo that is fun for everyone! There are some beautiful trails, lots of play equipment for kids, a good variety of animals and its all free! It is easy to get to just follow water street out of downtown or take a bike trail up. Good place to spend a couple hours no matter what season it is.

During our weekend stay in Peterborough we took a couple of hours to explore Riverview Park and Zoo. Great place for the family to visit. It's free. A splash pad for the kids in the hot weather. A big play area for the kids. Really nice walk through.

This local zoo is extremely well maintained. Fun activities area for kids and picnic area. Very enjoyable way to spend a day exploring the many animals of North America and abroad! Beautiful pathways that meander through the zoo grounds. Highly recommended.

Great place to take the kids, wonderful up and close views of the animals. Fun at the monkey house and the otters in the river. Cute train ride for all to rest your tired feet. Best of al the zoo is absolutely free.

Great family zoo-we regularly take our grandkids. Summer splash pad is very popular. Animal feeding time is another hihghlight, as is the butterfly garden and the big playground for the kids. We always visit the otters, camels, peacocks and monkeys.
