Stopped here when biking from NOL to the Whirlpool. Going up the escarpment is always demanding but worth it. Worth the stop.

On 27th July, both my wife and I visited the Queenston Heights where we visited this Brock 'S monument which is a 56-metre column dedicated to Major General Sir Issac Brock, one of Canada's heroes of the  War of 1812.

Brock died here defending Canada from American aggression. His sacrifice and that of others does remind Canadians that we have not always had a cozy relationship with Americans. Vist the monument and pnder how this man died in helping save Canada and our freedom.

The entire space is beautiful and well kept. You can certainly read up on a lot of history here and if you have a few dollars then you will be able to climb the stairs to the top of the tower...if you are claustrophobic then...More

Great place to see- sometimes tower is open and you can walk up for a small fee. Wonderful picnic area too.

This is a huge monument which you can climb up for a small fee, we didn't bother. (apparently the views are magnificent) set in a nice park this magnificent memorial is definetly worth a look.

I think someone said several hundred. Too many for me because I don't like stairs to begin with, nor heights.
