Stoped here on a trip around Lake Superior. Nice, clean boardwalk area. Lot's of shops and restaurants. Like lots of places town rolls up the carpet early on most shops especially on Sunday.

What a great way to clear the mind than to take a walk along the St. Mary's River on the boardwalk. Enjoy the view, breathe in the fresh air, watch the lakers and ocean-going ships, and meet friends and tourists while taking a leisurely sojourn from your daily routines. The boardwalk is dotted with several interesting plaques and informative displays... More

The boardwalk provides visitors with an opportunity to walk around the city, see the major sights, while gazing upon the St. Mary's River..

Walk along river/rapids. Loop through Whitefish Island across Canadian locks. Always someone fly fishing. Go to last lookout on rapids. Continue west on second loop under the International Bridge. Birdwatching, nature walk varies through the year. Spring summer and winter are all good.

This is a great walk from the water to the park which has a lot of trees. If you can walk that far you will see the rapids which is an awesome sight. You can also see the Canadian bridge. Walking back to the boardwalk you can see first hand the soo locks on the Canadian side. Although these locks... More

A place where the locals from the dating sites choose to stroll and sip coffee while pretending to be interesting. The fishermen in this area are fiercely territorial, if you go often enough youre likely to see a dispute over who owns the fishing rights to a particular spot ... I once seen one man throw the fishing rod of... More

Best in summer, I like to start at the Sault Ste. Marie library and art gallery and head west towards city hall. In this area, I have seen mergansers, muskrats, beavers and always ducks and geese including a few nesting areas. If you like drinks on a warm summer day there are a couple patio bar/restaurants. Usually in the evenings... More

Was cold but the view was amazing so despite the cold was hard to walk away from the boardwalk. Many people were there and was intersting the diversity for sure

Part of the hub trail, walking along the boardwalk is very scenic, ships going by, great place to people watch and if lucky you can see an angler bring in a fish!
