Lakeside Park was immortalized by the rock group Rush. The beach is lovely and there are lots of beach volleyball courts. The park itself has newly built pavilions for picnics or sample food from the food trucks on Tuesday evenings. And there is also the...More

This is a magnificent place to take a late night walk on the beach. The sun did not completely set until after 10:00 PM when we visited.

Clayey fresh water beach with mussel shells. Clear waters, wonderfully warm when we visited in July. Kids loved it! This is a public beach and they have great matting that avoids getting sand over everything. Great experience.

I'm not particularly a huge fan of this beach simply due to the smell and pollution. Every time I've been here I just want to leave since the foot paths are covered in bird droppings, the beach will often have smelly seaweed. Nothing pleasant about...More

Nice place for family and events, newly restored area and nice views. Fairly good job on cleanups, but need to groom the beach better.

After a rough winter beating 2 years ago This lovely park is back and ready to enjoy again. Big high 5's to The City of St. Catharines for their clean up and rebuilding efforts. The " sand zamboni" makes regular morning visits to make sure...More

Took grandchildren here after visiting the nearby Carousel. Sand was clean and the water was crystal clear that day, no seaweed or debris. Picnic tables and washrooms nearby. Plenty of parking. Great place to see a sunset.

This beach is quite small and in the summer is filled with freshwater sea weed. I do not recommend swimming here since the bacteria levels are usually high in the water. It is a nice place to relax, ride the carousel for 5 cents, walk,...More

Yeah you can. Along lighthouse rd. There's the St. Catharines Game & Fish Association parking lot which has a Boat ramp called SCGFA and further down the road is the Port Dalhousie Pier Marina with a launch as well.

Yes, there are approx. 200 spaces in the Lakeside Park parking lot - however, they fill up fast on event nights & on weekends. There is also street parking above the park ... ie. Main St., Dalhousie Ave. etc.
