Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoyable walk along Kelly Lake Trail and part of Trans Canada Trail allowed us to see many different species of birds, trees and wildflowers. We also saw extensive evidence of beaver activity. And, with one of our friends, who had knowledge of local geology, we learned to scratch the surface of what appeared to be black rocks, but were really oxidized due to acid rain and other forms of historical pollution -- and turned out to be the same white stone as seen in Killarney PP.
Easy walk, but need good shoes due to muddy and low lying areas.

Not only a pleasant walk (or a significant hike, if you wish) but the birds here are amazing. White Pelicans, Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles chasing the ducks, you never know what you might find.

There were lots of different kinds of birds that we saw around the lake. It was bright and sunny when we went. My husband and I enjoyed the scenery on the lake. We went halfway down the trail and came back cus there were puddles and snow. We had our running shoes but weren't prepared to get our feet wet. I would recommend wearing rubber boots in the spring time or if the trail has had a recent rainfall. I am looking forward to going back with my friends and telling them about the trail!

We always bring the kids here for either a nice walk, bike ride, or just to play at the playground, or to feed the birds.

Nice place to visit, you can walk throught this area, nice walking trails, and you get to observe nature left undisturbed. There were ducks, Canada geese and swans swimming neaby on the lake. Nice and relaxing.

We held an Appreciation Day for just over a hundred people.
A Caterer supplied the food and a Service Club supplied the drinks using a double large Refridgerator. Sound System was good and music great for dancing. A good Time was had by All.

We are local and have often seen the location from the bypass but this was our first visit. The trails are wide, level, well-maintained and very easily accessible for wheelchair uses. We 'popped in' but ended up spending several happy hours wandering around, taking photographs and enjoying the cool evening breeze. Even the industrial backdrop added an interesting twist to the photo opportunities.

One thing which we felt it lacked (or which maybe we missed?) was information and trail guides about the location itself, there were numerous commemorative plaques dotted about the place, one gave an extensive list of individuals who had contributed to the creation of the place and another paid homage to the Trans-Canada trail which is all good.... but we could not find a description of the trails i.e. length, severity, time to complete etc.

The public bathrooms were clean and well-stocked - despite according the the check sheet on the wall, not having been visited by City staff since late June, I suspect that the local 'Friends Of' group must make their own contribution.
