I really wanted to go up in the CN tower. Fortunately for us I chose a time where there were no lines, and the cost was reduced. I was happy to see the city skyline and locals in the distance.

I visited the CN Tower with a few friends while staying in Toronto. We decided to take a tour and were glad that we did. Our host provided us with lots of information about the history of the tower. We had the option to do some bungee jumping thing, but we passed on that. A great landmark to visit!

Although an impressive feat of engineering and an important part of the city, don't pay just for the view. If you've been up a tower before, don't spend CAD$40 to do this for the view. Perhaps winter is the wrong time to go, but thought this was very overpriced for what it was, wouldn't recommend it.

You get to see nice views of the city, so that's a plus. I was expecting the glass floor to be more exciting though.

From the Toronto Islands up to just beside it, this tower is amazing - very iconic indeed. We did not get inside anymore due to the expnse but we were still awed by its outside appearance. ...

It's funny how I have lived in Seattle for over 20 years and only been to Space Needle twice, and not because I wanted to, but because I had some guests in town. But once you go to a different city, you can't help yourself to visit the main symbol that represents that city. CN Tower not only takes you... More

I heard horror stories about waiting hours to get in. I arrived first thing in the morning and there was no wait or line up so I got to go straight up! The elevator is cool! Goes up super quick and partially made of glass so you can see yourself moving faster away from the ground!! When you get to... More

This was great for views of Toronto. Had a glass floor for viewing straight down to the street below. Expensive entry price, probably would not go again.

We went to the Tower dressed up with my 15 yrs old niece to celebrate her and our anniversary. View was amazing. Food great. Loved the charcuterie appetizer and the mushroom chowder. But the ambiance didn't have the same classy feeling as in the past. The wait staff seemed in a hurry to move people through. The a la carte... More

If you don't mind the traffic in downtown Toronto, then this place is for you. I love the glass floor though I was scared to step on it at first. The restaurant at the top served great food. Good place to visit and enjoy the view.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
