Yes it can be very crowded and yes it can be very touristy but there's always something going on. There are bars and restaurants, live music, food festivals, buskers and just plain people watching. We often ride our bikes there just to see what's happening....More

I love taking walks along thr boardwalk in this area of Toronto. Lots of good places to grab a bite to eat as well.
