It was a good experience for the kids they enjoyed learning how many things used to get made. The beer tasting was fun for me.

This pioneer village located near York University at Steeles and Jane is a very interesting and reasonably priced attraction with onsite parking and some food and beverage availability. With displays including US slave and Chinese immigrants as well as attended and functioning display buildings including : Tinsmith, Printing , Barrel Making, Grain Milling, Blacksmithing, Photography etc this is an interesting... First of all I must say the food and the service at the restaurant were fantastic but it was still grossly over priced. The $66 charge per person (along with the $7 parking) was not worth the experience, Some tables were lovely and had lots of room around them most were tightly together. Our table was for 8 and was... A great spot to walk around. Learned to do a Victorian Dance, Brewery Tour highly recommended. Even with kids. Our tour guide was very friendly and she was very knowledgeable. She kept everyone engaged even while walking to the Mill. I stopped in to see Santa. If you have seen Miracle on 34th Street you got to come here. I... More

I had not been to Pioneer Village since I was a kid. Needless to say, ahem, a few years ago. I was thrilled to see the lovely welcome reception area, enjoy some vintage foods and interact with really knowledgable interpreters. Get there soon! They close for the season just before Xmas. Reopen in the spring. A super great outing for... More

Black Creek Pioneer Village attracts both the young and old. Buses full of students or adults strolling among the aged buildings. Many events occur within its boarders. I once attended a wedding in its chapel. The mill is certainly something to behold and its restaurants offer hearty fare.

A great place to visit with children. A good number of restored buildings, excellent interpreters, animals that kids can interact with.............plus a real brewery for dad! Avoid school holidays or morning during the week as there are quite a few school groups..........would suggest calling ahead to verify. Entrance fee is expensive plus parking but on par with most attractions.
