I work in the downtown financial district and pass by FCP (First Cdn. Place) every single day. It's essentialy an office tower with shops/food in the lower levels that is interconnected with other similar office towers with the same thing in each buidling (called the PATH or underground concourse). For someone who is handy with map reading & wants to... More

This is a very confusing place to try to get around - It is part of the Toronto PATH - and all the corridors look identical - There are plenty of good places to eat if you are doing work in the offices upstairs, but nothing that would make you come here that you can't find in one of the... More

Interesting cow sculptures in the square, and a very good inuit sculpture exhibition on the secon floor of th south building. The architecture is iconic. But other than that it just feels like another downtown bank building office complex.

If the Eaton Centre or the food options on Yonge St are not tickling your fancy, First Canadian Place offers up some decent dining option with upscale shoppes as well. It's a nice complex with a great patio during the summer to enjoy your food court meal on. Many different options to enjoy, there's Greek, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican and... More

That being said, FCP is home to some great shopping and restaurants, and is connected to the PATH system. There are a number of places to get a good, cheap meal when you're exploring the city, and some of the finest shopping in the city can be found here. First Canadian Place is the headquarters of BMO Financial Group (The... More

I work for a company in this building. I visit Toronto from the states a couple times of month for work. First Canadian Place (FCP) is a top-tier office building with a two level mall on the first floor and basement level. It also connects to the Toronto PATH system that allows you to cover much of the downtown without... More

Worked in this building for almost 6 years and work close by so I am at the building often for banking, shopping or lunch plans. Accessible by the PATH.

Attached to the underground path system the FCP is a beautiful building in the Toronto cityscape. Recently refaced this summer it stands at the corner of Bay and King as one of the taller buildings in the city. The ground and concourse levels are home to a number of great retail stores and a great foodcourt with 2 dine in... More

Bright white , marble , and all your shopping needs covered . Lots of suits and meetings and discussions , great places to find food , and that pretty much sums up First Canadian Place , located in the heart of financial district .

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
