This was a great bar and felt very Canadian with pool tables, screens showing sport and lots of rock music. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie burger and Jack Daniels.

We visited today while attending an event at the Mattamy Center. Bar wasn't full. We took a seat at a table. After 15 minutes of being completely ignored we had no choice but to leave. We are so glad we did as we went to Church street to excellent service and a menu that had more than simply deep fried... More

We were looking for a quick evening meal in the area. The food was very tasty! My chicken was delicious. Quick and friendly service. Very noisy on the bar side, but a manageable noise level by the booths. That was a plus!

I'd been here a few times on my visit as a friend wanted to go there. But every visit was off putting. We'd only had drinks as a group and played some pool on the worn tables. The staff had an attitude problem, seeming uninterested in customers. The bartender openly condemned one friend for failing to tip him. Everyone seemed... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
