Five quilts hanging on the wall does not a "museum' make. The admission price of $15 is definitely NOT worth it, considering it takes less than an hour to go through the entire museum ( and that's with walking real sl-o-o-w-w-w and reading all the...More

Over more than 40 years, I have been going to the AGO and the ROM, but never made it to the Textile Museum until this year. It is a great little museum, featuring special shows over a period of months, but with no permanent collection...More

A small, sparse specialty museum that isn't all that inviting. More like a textile footnote than a museum. Not much to see and not very compelling. Perhaps the tours on Sunday at 2 PM can make it more interesting but on your own, not worth...More

The Museum can be a bit hard to find, tucked, as it is on the corner of a residential block and on the edge of 'eat street' but it's worth persevering. Although the display space is limited, what they do with it is captivating. The...More

This museum had a wonderful display of international quilts. Secondhand books for sale adjacent to the reference library at a very good price. The Canadian craft section was interesting. The shop was good with lots of items which could be purchased.

Visited this museum with a friend who is a quilt maker in their spare time. The items from the permanent collection had good historical descriptions, sort of history meets art, meets textile aficionados. There was also a rotating exhibit while I visited very good as...More

We love textiles and decided to visit this museum while in Toronto. It's close to the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Eaton Center if you are visiting either of those locations. The current exhibits include modern international quilts and textiles over time in Canada....More
