Come alone, with friends, with kids - this place is a marvel. A triumph of public space and modern art and design. This must be a very popular spot in Winter! Well organized and visually beautiful in a modern way it's a must visit spot for a nice walk and a bite for lunch or dinner. If you're an arts... More

Wasn't sure what to expect but this was entertaining and help attention. Who knew this kind of place existed in the middle of Montreal. I'd for sure go back again

I was here to attend a graduation ceremony. It's big, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to find parking. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too, one can easily spend the day here.

I went there last year for the Erikah Badu`s show and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very polite and the intimate feel of the room was great.

I have been to PDA several times for a number of events! Shows ranging from the Just For Laughs Galas to the Grands Ballets Canadiens ballets to Musicals such as The Lion King and Wicked. The seats are comfortable and large enough. The refreshments at intermission are a little overpriced but that is to be expected at these types of... More

I have visited multiple shows from Grand Ballets and I have to say it's terrific. You can also attend theme attractions during the year all over the place close to the Grand Ballets building (slides, swinging, etc) I managed to see the famous "Nutcracker" (they have it usually every December) and the costumes in the show were unbelievable. The whole... More

PDA is the home of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Les Grande Ballets, and hosts some of the biggest names in show business. The main theater, Salle Wilfred Pelletier, seats 3000, and has wonderful acoustics. There are 4 other smaller venues as well. Place des Spectacles, the promenade around this complex becomes home to Montreal's ongoing summer festival scene ( jazz,... More

You need to visit here. Place des Arts is exactly that. A place of art! Art in all forms to appeal to the 6 senses and amaze each sense! The connecting tunnels to the Desjardin Centre are stunning well decorated with lots of tech savy things like lights that go off when you step on them. A very pretty location... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
