Worth hopping off the Red Bus Tour to see this impressive Oratory. It is not the most lavish of churches inside but its scale is impressive and it has many smaller chapels

This stop was on our last day in Montreal before our plane left at 18:45. The weather was cloudy and rainy so the dome was somewhat obscured, muting the impressiveness of the structure. We took the metro and walked the four blocks to the grounds....More

The evening before we left Montreal, a local told us that we had to visit this church before we left. We took her advice and, just before we left to Quebec City the next morning, we made sure to visit it. This church was impressive,...More

This is obviously a religious and spiritual building, however, the size, scope of the building and the 360o views offer the tourist a visual feast without heavy religious overtones.

This place is very spiritual and beautiful. There’s a feeling of love and peace here. Spectacular views and you can see the steps that people climbed up on their knees to be blessed by the priest. It’s pretty awesome.

Huge church with a beautyful organ and interesting representations of via crucis inside. From the top of the hill you can admire a great labscape all over Montreal. Not to be missed!

If your taking the train and bus, it is easy. The walk or the hike is not as bad as Mount Royal park. Just be careful because a car might hit you along the way. The church was big, silent and you can really concentrate...More

This was one of the most interesting churches I have ever toured. The history behind the inspiration and building of this chapel was fascinating and well presented and the building itself is amazing. I enjoyed the views from the exterior looking back at it just...More

Although modern you cannot but be impressed by the sheer size. There are a large number of steps to climb, but if you enter the crypt level, there is an internal escalator.

Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the
tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive
parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an
outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature
walks that cater to every season and level of athlete.
In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and
ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its
pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and
