Campus was pretty to walk through for a few minutes, but we mostly enjoyed the Redpath museum. The museum has a nice collection on natural history about people, plants and nature. I especially enjoyed the animal skeletons and those the ones on taxidermy display.

Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the
Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and
commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship
stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate
headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by
nightfall transforms from a business district into a

We stayed in old Montreal which was a good 35 minute walk from McGill. I would highly recommend staying in OM but not if you have to get to McGill daily.

I noticed a Metro entrance/exit on Rue Catherine and from there it would be about a five block walk. I would suggest downloading a metro map from Montreal's transportation site.
