Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a little hard to find in the building, but the views are worth it. It’s in the middle of the city so the views are great. It’s all about the view and doesn’t have a gift shop, movies, or other distractions.

We spent a lot of time checking out the views from every direction on the 46th floor. If you know your way around Montreal then it's great to see everything from above.
The interactive displays on the 45th floor were interesting, but it would have been better if there had been an English audio option.
Overall the tickets were overpriced for the experience you get. A fairer price would be $10 to $15.

We have only two days in Montreal to shoppi g and see how it looks like. I saw this is good place to see above the city. We choose good time to go up and see how it look like. View is amazing and ther was hardly nobody there.
In middle of the week around noon was perfect.
I can recommend this place . But I didn't try other so I can't say this is the best.

This building complex encapsulates Montreal in the 1960’s. It was one of its first true modernist international style skyscrapers (one of the early projects of IM. PEI), and started the creation of the famed Montreal Underground City, linking its underground mall to other such facilities all through the downtown core. It’s cruciform shape and design details reflect the Quebec culture’s strong catholic background, and it was THE place to have a corporate headquarters (Air Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, and other national firms all called it home at one time or another). Take time to read about the complex and walk around and notice the massive height of the main entry foyer and all the interesting features u Kaye to the building. I would definitely do dinner or a drink on the top floor for fantastic views of the city. This is still a local metro mall so so check out the local stews for souvenirs nor found in the tacky tourist traps found all over.

I was in Montreal recently and went to Place Ville Marie which is one of the downtown major shopping areas. I found the people there and around Montreal in general to be very uptight , aggressive and rude. They kept bumping into me as if I was not there and not even bothered to excuse themselves. I think it is a form of violence. Life must be bad in this town. What's this about "joie de vivre?" I didn't see too many signs of the joys of life. A lot of the downtown area is old and rotting and stinks like old stale cologne and body odor-big time. A lot of the people there, especially the guys, smell like they are wearing a whole bottle of aqua velva cologne. It is nauseating. Especially if one is dining out. It kind of ruins your meal. The drivers are very impatient and aggressive and a couple of them acted like they were going to run me over when I tried to cross the street. And it was a green light yet! Ditto for some of the city buses. And a lot of the bus drivers refuse to speak English, so it is a real bummer if you need directions on how to get somewhere. A lot of the men there seem to be on the make and harrass women a lot, especially if they are travelling alone, which is another downer. I really do not see what is so great about Montreal. I plan to avoid it in the future. I could not wait to get out of there and was thrilled to leave.

The parking garage is dangerous to park in and to walk in - if you must go here park elsewhere. The venue itself is not particularly worth going to as a destination.

PVM is a busy location in the heart of Montreal known for it's shopping & office tower .
What most don't seem to know about PVM is it's rooftop lookout (AMAZING 360 VIEWS) and it's busy rooftop restaurant .
The lookout is a must see ! Expensive (~$21.00/person) so take your time .
The "history" written on the walls etc. are pro-franco quebec , therefore take what is said with a grain of salt (not completely truthful/ slanted pro french) . But that is to be expected here in quebec .
So savour the incredible views & enjoy the city afterwards .

We stopped here to check out the shopping and get a bite to eat. There was a security guard at the bookstore but no others that we could see. While we were eating, a single man sat behind my daughter and was pushed up slightly against her chair. We didn't realize until later that he had taken her wallet from her backpack on the back of the chair. We should have been more cautious but there should also have been more security or advisements about pickpockets as we were later told that they work that area often. It ruined our trip as we had to spend time filing a report online with the police, canceling her cards and now we have to replace her license and ID. As for filing a police report, don't bother: it was a joke.

It's expensive -- party of six will cost more than $100 to visit the top and see the views -- and most of the reason to visit is either the view or the underground mall. Worth the visit if you're into the shopping. Pass if you are looking for a view of the city. Too expensive & obscured by other nearby buildings.
