    Beuatiful!
Came here in early November, not exactly the height of tourist season. It allowed me to spend some quiet times in this beautiful church without being disturbed by tours. However, I would definitely recommend it any time of the year!

    Gorgeous Cathedral
Such a gorgeous cathedral! It feels so light and airy with the ceiling of blue sky and white clouds. The alter in the front shines with the gold. The architecture and art are beautiful. Absolutely worth stopping in. It was a very calming environment.

    Don't miss it!
Like others have said, this cathedral is as beautiful, or even more beautiful, than many found in Europe. It is truly amazing and something not to miss! There was construction outside of the church, so be aware, but once inside, it will take your breath away!

    Ornate church
This is an ornate church similar to what you would find in Europe. Trivia: one of the towers is lower because the hill on which it is built couldn’t support the weight of the higher tower… Good location within the heart of the old city. OK for a short visit on a walking tour, but nothing spectacular.

    Beautiful Church
We want to Sunday Mass (in French) and found the church to be absolutely beautiful. I cannot imagine how this church was built as it looks today. There is a small museum at the rear of church which was interesting. We touched the "Holy Door" and took a picture (they will explain this to you while they're in the small shop and it is a "Big Deal". It is worthwhile to spend the time visiting this church, no matter your own religion.

    The Holy Door
The interior of the Notre-Dame De Québec Basilica is stunning. It was first full day in Québec City and we were doing an orientation tour of Old Québec. After checking out the icon Château Frontenac, we went into the Cathedral and it was so beautiful - the architecture, the stained glass windows. We unexpectedly stumbled upon The Holy Door and I was thankful with the grace. Not to miss!!

    Peaceful and Ornate Cathedral
Works going on all around but fortunately still open. Building itself less impressive from the outside than expected but the inside made up for it. Very peaceful, really ornate too. Lit a couple of candle for the recently departed.

    Magnificent
Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral is a Heritage listed site. It is considered to be the oldest church in Canada. The site dates to the 1600s! It is a beautiful building and the interior of the church is magnificent. We were only able to spend a short time here but it is certainly worth a good visit.

Beautiful .... and free to access
Gorgeous cathedral and free to access (unlike Notre Dame in Montreal where there is an entry fee of 18 CAD) with the lines you normally find in more northern European cathedrals as opposed of the Portuguese or some Spanish cathedrals for example. I liked it's simplicity with only some golden adornments around the altar area besides the usual stained glass typically found here. Quiet, despite being located in the busy part of the old Quebec town and just beautiful.

The oldest church in Canada, built over 350 years ago! It's breathtaking! It also houses one of only 8 holy doors in the world. So much history and beauty, a must see!

Lovely architecture. We always enjoy time looking at churches/cathedrals when travelling in foreign places. Definitely a place to visit when in the old town of Quebec.

In the center of town, can't miss it from high steeples, gorgeous inside & huge, little museum near the main altar plus a little shop as well. Definitely worth looking inside.

Our tour guide brought us to the cathedral as took us inside. It was beyond belief on the details inside. 5200 tubes in the organ was unbelievable. This is a must see location in Quebec!
