This small garden is ringed with flower beds. It is slightly sunken giving it a warm cozy feeling. We found it a perfect place to relax and even had our breakfast here one morning. there's a handy drinking fountain on the east end of the garden.

I can only imagine a hot summer day strolling through this well treed park. As it was, it was a snowy October day to come see the donated statue of this fantastic historical figure. The park was full of school children studying the Halloween exhibit of the history of the city. Well laid out and described we got more bang... More

Being close to our hotel we strolled over to see that Parcs Canada had done a great job for a Halloween display which included a big spider on Montebello Tower #2 nearby. There was a small colourful train on wheels that was taking kids and parents around the park. Joan of Arc kind of took second fiddle to the park... More

Located inside Plains of Abraham Park, the tribute to Joan of Arc is touching. Surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants, this statue centers on the heroin of the time.

Joan of Arc Park is especially interesting in the fall due to a series of displays (and lighting) describing some of the different aspects of the city. Descriptions of the hangings in the area, the ghostly apparitions one might meet, and even the lady who tempted her lovers to their death ... only to be tricked into her own jump... More

The formal gardens are pretty depending on the season. While we visited in October it had been transformed to a Halloween theme park with ghosts goblins etc. Full of kids and folks that distracted one from seeing the gardens.

Beautiful location - the Halloween treatment of the park is both educational and entertaining. The 'stations' were great. The variety of plants and flowers was just incredible. Hats off to the skilled folks who create these beautiful displays and plantings around the park.

Take some time there to relax. Sit on a street bench (no homeless there) and enjoy the vegetation. Plenty of flowers in this area. It is generally less hot in summer because of winds direction and the open space between buildings.
