Lovley area of the Park

Located inside Plains of Abraham Park, the tribute to Joan of Arc is touching. Surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants, this statue centers on the heroin of the time.

Joan of Arc Park is especially interesting in the fall due to a series of displays (and lighting) describing some of the different aspects of the city. Descriptions of the hangings in the area, the ghostly apparitions one might meet, and even the lady who tempted her lovers to their death ... only to be tricked into her own jump... More

The formal gardens are pretty depending on the season. While we visited in October it had been transformed to a Halloween theme park with ghosts goblins etc. Full of kids and folks that distracted one from seeing the gardens.

Beautiful location - the Halloween treatment of the park is both educational and entertaining. The 'stations' were great. The variety of plants and flowers was just incredible. Hats off to the skilled folks who create these beautiful displays and plantings around the park.

Take some time there to relax. Sit on a street bench (no homeless there) and enjoy the vegetation. Plenty of flowers in this area. It is generally less hot in summer because of winds direction and the open space between buildings.

Right by our Hotel (Chateau Laurier). Joan was young, yet remains an inspiration. Nice gardens around the statue too.

This park within a park is charming. We went in October and it was decorated for Halloween with pumpkins and witches. The statue of Joan of Arc is in the centre of the park and was designed by an American sculptor I think. Worth a visit.

The garden was at its fall height and worth a stop to reflect on the history of the area of the Plains of Abraham. The statue to Joan is central to the area and its significance explained on a posting.

This is a beautiful park with a unique bit of history. Our national anthem was first performed in this park.

The statue itself is not remarkable, but the gardens it is in are gorgeous. We had a picnic here because it was so lovely and peaceful. It was much quieter here than many other places as there weren't as many tourists here even though it is only a few blocks from Old Quebec.. The locals seem to love it here.
