While waiting in line for it, we discovered only long minutes after that it would not be available for the remaining portion of the day. This could be a problem for people with mobility problems especially if you need to go up to the higher...More

The easy way to get from the old lower town to the upper historic Québec City, plus you get a quick grand view of the lower old town and the Saint Lawrence River scene. We usually walked down the winding streets and the numerous steps...More

OMG Its very crowded and hot inside there, very small area for ticket buying, shopping and waiting lines, people coming from up, but after going up enjoyed beautiful views. Easy way up for $3

If you are able, climb down the stairs to the lower city; but, unless you are young and energetic, the $3.00 CAD is well worth the lift back up.

We made the mistake of going down (should have ridden it up and saved the hike up steep hills) and at 3.00 per ride it is pricey and on a 90 degree day very hot; that said it was fun to do and the view...More

Not very necessary, but it's fun for the kids and an easy way up, definitely. It's super quick and feels like an elevator, really.

It is not so easy to climb to Chateau Frontenac from Petit Champlain. The best way to use this spectacular funicular for it. You pay only 3 CAD for the adults. It worths,

We waited and waited and ended up on the last trip of the night. I asked the attendant at the top what time it closed and was told 11p. After dinner we went to take it back down and it was closed, around 9:40p. The...More

For our stay, we parked in a parking garage and walked everywhere. This garage would be about 2 blocks away from the top side of the funicular, on the other side of the Hotel Frontenac. Not sure if there are others closer... More
