Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very cute corner! Lots of stores, cafes, and restaurants as well as the church Notre dame. A great place to wander and take pictures. FREE!

Beautiful City Hall building, impressive architecture, beautifully landscaped, in the center of Old Town. There is a green space next to it with street performers, and many excellent restaurants nearby. Also very close to the Basilica-Cathedral. On one side there are fountains which at night go through an impressive light and fountain show. An entrance to an underground parking garage is nearby which also has very clean and safe public restrooms.

There's nothing special about this square, other than the City Hall on the west side. There are many more interesting things to see in the Old City.

This square is quaint, is opposite the Basilica of Notre Dames, and also in close proximity to dining and the Hotel de Ville fountain, which is an interactive fountain lit with colourful light, and in which children love to run and play in the summer. It was FUN to watch this and possible to take some really iconic photos in the evening, with the colourful lights. The location of this square is also just a block from the Dufferin Terrace, and walking distance to the ramparts at the Port St. Louis in the opposite direction.

Place de l'Hotel de Ville is a nice square with monuments, seats and tall trees around. This city hall square has array of amateur performers around. During our visit there, festive decorations were on and children played around happily.

We wondered around the City Hall and enjoyed the architectural design as well as the atmosphere all around. The building is really pretty, and you can feel the history all around.

We were staying in the Hotel Clarendon, the oldest hotel in Quebec City, and it is directly across from the City Hall. Firstly, the City Hall offered a good, secure place to park our car (the hotel uses this parking space as their parking). The City Hall shows flags of the sister cities around the world - France, China, etc. The star of the show for this building is the fountain that rises out of the ground - one can see dogs running crazy through the fountain, it must be such a delight to be here when the weather is really hot.

This attractive government building serves as City Hall. It is a UNESCO site.

There are no tours.

Not much to see here.

The building is beautiful but the square is worth mentioning.

The most amazing plaza currently decked out in it's fall colours. From planters of kale, pumpkins and hay to the burning leaves on the maple trees. While we were visiting, there was a provincial cultural day occurring. Everyone was welcomed. The event was named Culture and Crunch Day. In the square artists were painting, volunteers were handing out apples from local orchards, sketch paper and pencils, and people were enjoying the warm fall day.

The square also has some interesting sculpture, great views of the Basilica and inspiration for all. Please talk a moment to view the photos. It was great!
