The walking tour of old Quebec City included a stop at the Place d'Armes. The whole area is fantastic and I enjoyed the tour around this area as well. Wonderful city. I need to go back and spend more time.

This Gothic-style fountain beckoned as we descended from the Chateau Frontenac hotel. I expected a slight evaporative-cooling effect from its spray on the third day of a record-breaking heatwave and wasn't disappointed. Sitting on the grass under one of the tall shade trees for a...More

This park is just across the Chateau and has several park benches surrounding the fountain. It's very small but is a relaxing place to sit close to the Chateau and people watch

It is located in an area with lots of restaurants, bistros, and cafes. Also, shops, artists, street performers, and book sellers. All this gives the area has a very Montmartre feel. Especially on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Sat and watched the people, street performers, and the buildings that surround the area. In the summer, there is great shade for parts of it.

Fountain is nothing special as far as fountains go. But it is a huge church like structure in honor of the missionaries. Directly opposite the Chateau Frontenac it is a great place to take a break in the shade of massive trees, watch the horse...More

This fountain is located just below the Chateau Frontenac. In a lovely little plaza. It is Gothic in design and celebrates the 300 anniversary of missionaries. On hot days, it is a shady spot with seating for the weary.

The fountain is very easily overlooked not because it isn't beautiful (it is!) but because it is surrounded by so many things to see it gets a little bit lost... So when you are done admiring the Chateau Frontenac, the Terrasse Dufferin, the view of...More

The fountain itself is ornate. There are a lot of them around in Quebec, so you get a bit spoiled like that. This review is more of the surrounding area. It's quite lively in the evenings. They're always seem to be people playing music or...More
