- Tanya ASan Diego, California15 contributionsGood source of tour info and friendly serviceVery helpful getting us a shuttle to Vacances Valcartier to see the Ice Hotel and do the sliding hills. Knowledgeable, friendly service. It was so much easier than us trying to find out all the specifics and book it ourselves. Also, the tours meet right outside the office which is very convenient.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 12 March 2024
- TheLeongOhanaUnited States7,575 contributionsVery Helpful StaffWe visited the information center to get some ideas on what to see out of Quebec City. Staff was very helpful and informative so worth going in for guidance. We grabbed a ticket and were called up to the counter within a minute when a new window got staffed. He asked us our interests and gave step by step instructions on how to take the bus to Montmorency Falls from our hotel. We also received a tip to buy our round trip ticket in advance from the Jac & Gil convenience store to save on bus fare. However we ended up renting a car (quite cheap in April) for more flexibility as we also got to visit Sanctuaire Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Tour operators were also located inside along with a small selection of souvenirs for purchase.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 May 2024
- WilmaDunedin, New Zealand15 contributionsWonderfully helpful and friendly Tourist CentreOver the last week I have been to the Tourist Centre several times. On each occasion, the staff have been very professional, friendly and helpful - in particular, I would like to thank Sophie for her patient and helpful assistance about tour tips and today I could have hugged Steenbly (if it had been appropriate) for the expression on her face when I asked if my money belt with my iphone and credit cards had by any chance been handed in - she went to check and returned with the wallet! - apparently, two tourists had handed in my wallet to her yesterday and did not leave their contact details - a very special thank you to the tourists who did this kind and honest deed - I am very very grateful - Québec is living up to its reputation as a safe place to live - and a safe ands friendly place for tourists to visit - thank you to everyone who helped me find my wallet.Visited September 2024Travelled soloWritten 8 September 2024

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

'My gosh, what a place' I think, every single time I remember this place. Why?
- the worst smelling toilets I came across, located on the lower level of the building.
Everybody was wearing a mask or covering their noses and not because of the past pandemic
- a very rude girl in her '20s did not even listen to me when I asked her a very simple question and asked me to join a queue to learn the answer to my question while not even looking at me but around her trying to get rid of me or maybe because she has issues. What was her role there? Because door usher or security person she was not yet decided to be so rude to me and treat me so disrespectfully. She surely brings nothing positive towards this institution.

The idea of finding this is exciting, I was looking for a restroom and found this.
Multiservice tourist information bureau run by Tourism Québec. Located in Old Quebec City, across from Château Frontenac, visitors to the bureau can gather information on all Quebec destinations. Very well maintained, brochures, pamphlets of tours, and excursions are there. folks will help you out with any questions. the tours meet right outside the office which is very convenient (across the famous Chateau Hotel).
As every place is nearby, it was our go-to place for restrooms. By the way, there are many restrooms in this area. like 5 minutes of walking, loved it.

I don’t normally write reviews on tourist information centres but this one was very helpful. I visited just after 9am on a Sunday, was greeted by a friendly staff member, who gave me a ticket to see one of the staff at the counter. The staff member was very helpful in showing me how to get to the Ferry terminal to Lévis.

We stopped in hoping we could just grab a map, but we were helped by Laurie and she was incredibly knowledgeable and we left with three maps and a booklet. If it's your first trip to Quebec or not if is worth the stop in.

This is centrally located in the Upper Town right across from the Chateau de Frontenac so it’s very easy to find. They have clean public washrooms if you need a pit stop. The staff were all very friendly and could answer questions and provide ideas. If you don’t know what to do this should be your first stop as they will give you lots of ideas.

The tourist center is located in the Place d'Armes in front of the Chauteau Frontenac. It is open Monday-Sunday. It has free wifi, bathrooms and money exchange.
Once you enter:
To the right, there is a staff person that will get you a ticket and will direct you to one of the booths. The attendant at the booth will provide you with a map and with information about local tourist attractions and hours.
To the left: Organized booth tours: Old Quebec tours, Tours Voir Quebec, Helicopter tours, Wendake, etc. Here you make reservations.
The Center is located close to restaurants. If you need help, this is the place to go.

Does public transportation run from the Quebec International Airport to Old Quebec City as an alternative to the expensive Airport taxi?
