Our first visit was last Thursday and it has just started up for the season. I'm not sure if it is always so small but there were not a lot of vendors when we were there. However, it is fun to go and mill about with the locals and grab a snack. The kids enjoy running around in the park... More

Like anywhere I've travelled, the market is always a place one must visit. Though, the Whitehorse farmers' market was quite small, it offers a good opportunity to learn, see and experience so to speak what goes on in Whitehorse and to some degree the Yukon in general. The market has a good vibe, and includes fresh, locally grown produce, baked... More

When in Whitehorse, you must stop at the Farmers Market in Shipyards Park. This market is only open on Thursdays from 3 to 8 pm. (I'm not absolutely certain about opening but very certain about the closing times.) I can guarantee that you will enjoy this market. There are fresh vegetables, (more as the summer progresses), home made baking and... More

I was lucky enough to make it to the last farmer's market in the season. I enjoyed walking around and meeting the locals, as well as purchasing from them. There were many canned goods (check the ingredients in case it's spicy like the salsa and relish I purchased), breads, baked goods, art of different kinds, and even t-shirts and memberships... More

This farmers market appears to have a lot of local vendors and some really great products for sale. The atmosphere is lively and fun. A great place to walk around and enjoy the evening.

This is a great place to find the freshest veggies in town. non are shipped in. Veggies in season, the crafts are all made in the Yukon and you can meet the crafter. This is a great place to make friends too.

Gadi's Falafel was great! Lara Melnik's colorful art is fabulous! Many local soap makers, farmers for fresh greens and herbs, turnips, beets and more! Bakery breads!

This venue has some wonderful arts and crafts and believe it or not food that is grown in the north. The food is very tasty and naturally or organically grown and set up very well. People will be amazed at what can grow in the sub-arctic region of the planet.
