Such a great museum...a must-stop if you are visiting Whitehorse. Very well laid out with lots to see and learn. The staff was wonderful and able to answer questions. Really great for anyone and everyone! When visiting, don't miss all the extra displays out doors and in the quonset outside.

It was a very cool place to see the transition of transportation in the Yukon. From dog sleds for the RCMP, to tractors, to trucks toting canoes, there is something for everyone. Great place to learn about how people got around in the Yukon. This is also home to the worlds largest weather vane, which sits outside in front of... More

an amazing tribute to the pioneers of the Yukon region and the Klondike gold rush era. Guided tours through the facility are available. The information is well presented so it's possible to wander through in your own time if you prefer. We spent time with a very interesting gentleman who volunteers in the hall which houses the planes. Outside is... More

The museum costs of two attached buildings and an outside area. You can buy a combined ticket with the Beringia museum. Neither of these places should be missed on a visit to Whitehorse. It is obviously a labour of love, as there is a lack of investment apparent from the condition of some of the exhibits, which would benefit from... More

We’ve traveled through Yukon and Alaska on paved roads in the summer, however museum like this, with collection of pictures, vehicles and artefacts makes one think, what was to travel here in the wilderness in the middle of winter. Not so easy, is it? This museum did what good museum should do, made mi to read more at the later... More

There is something here for everyone! Even if you are not interested in transportation at all, the historical information about the development of the Yukon and way of life in the past is really interesting! Close to the aiport!

We were drawn to this spot by a full-sized DC3 airplane mounted on a pedestal moving as a weather vane. Unfortunately, the schedule is for Friday and Sunday only....so check your schedule. You can buy a combination pass in there for this and the Beringa Museum next door....a good value. The transportation museum is loaded with artifacts and vehicles from... More

It's great for families with kids. I liked it... but did not love it. Worth the stop for a short tour. Who knows you might really love it. Enjoy.

If you are an old plane or train enthusiast, this is the place. Interesting old equipment in the hangar. Interesting survival stories in the Yukon.

Found it very interesting with some lovely artifacts, mainly visited for my dad but I throughly enjoyed it myself! Really good use of the space worth the money! We brought a saver to visit the centre next door, however preferred this to the cultural museum next door!!

Thank victoria C
