One of the most photographed locations and worth it, one of the most beautiful and tranquil areas I have ever visited. God's presence revealed in nature.

Not too long a hike and although there weren't really any falls here when we were, the views down to Emerald Bay were amazing.

Located right outside Lake Tahoe this waterfall is a great surprise! Although it is well populated, it is worth the hike. The hike leading to the waterfall is very simple; however, there are a couple amazing alpine lakes to view if you are willing to...More

We like to see the falls and it's on the way to Eagle Lake. It was a short hike, climbing a few stairs. But it was disappointing. There's not much water. But what do you expect, California is facing severe drought .

One of the highlights of our trip to Tahoe was the hike down to Vikingsholm and then up to Eagle Falls. Well worth the effort.

This is a very short hike up to the falls...took us maybe 10 minutes. We climbed the stairs to the bridge over the falls too but did not venture on to the lake. Very easy hike to the falls is completely worth the effort though.

I vacation to Lake Tahoe every year for some much-needed R&R time, usually solo since I can really relax and recharge that way. For years, I have been doing the "drive around the lake" and have always stopped at Emerald Bay to take in the...More
